چکیده

A one-step synthesis of monoterpene alcohols such as lavandulol, linalool and geraniol/nerol from hemiterpene alcohols proceeds efficiently in supercritical water (scH2O) without any catalyst. Our device of a microreaction (μ-reaction) system achieves the production of lavandulol in 82% selectivity and 59% yield, respectively, even at a short reaction time of 7.7 s at 30 MPa and 375 in the near-critical region. The yield was superior to conventional method promoted by organometallic catalysts in which the reaction time of 7.25 hours is needed to obtain 54 % yield. When the reaction was carried out at a lower temperature of 300 in hot water, we obtained only 15 % yield even at a reaction time of 38 s. The acidic ability of H2O peculiar to supercritical conditions is thus considered to promote the desired pathway alone, and so the scH2O μ-reaction system could conveniently prevent side reactions such as dehydration and hydrolysis.

Hydrogen rich gas production via nano-catalytic gasification of bagasse in supercritical water

Ru/Al2O3 nano-catalysts were prepared with impregnation and microemulsion techniques. The supercritical water gasification reaction was performed at 400oC and 5-60 min. Within the tested operation conditions, the reaction residence time of 15 min was the optimum to maximize the H2 yield. It was observed that using microemulsion technique increases the total gas yield significantly. Using microe...

Continuous Synthesis of Oleyl Oleate in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide using Solid p-Toluenesulfonic Acid as Catalyst

Supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) was used as solvent to synthesize oleyl oleate as an analog of Jojoba oil from oleic acid and oleyl alcohol with high conversion (100%) of the acid into ester in a short time of 100 min. Utilizing a low cost solid catalyst, p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate (PTSA), the esterification reaction was performed, without any prior preparation step...

Supercritical water impregnation of CuO nanoparticles on silica-support as new catalyst

In our current study, supercritical water impregnation (SCWI) was introduced as a unique catalyst preparation method by employing the high diffusivity property of supercritical water. The method allows nano-particles to place on support surfaces in extremely dispersed conditions. The silica-based nanocatalyst granules for this purpose were prepared by initial impregnation of highly porous silic...

Production of Hydrogen and Synthesis gas via Cu-Ni/Al2O3 catalyzed gasification of bagasse in supercritical water media

Bagasse as a real biomass was converted to hydrogen rich gas via catalytic supercritical water gasification process. To find the effect of Cu on selectivity of products, Cu promoted Ni-γAl2O3 catalysts were prepared with 1 to 20wt% Ni and 0.5 to 10wt% Cu loadings via impregnation method. Catalysts were characterized by ICP, BET, XRD, H2 chemisorption and TEM technique as well CHNS analysis was ...
